Focus and Scope


TWMS Journal of Applied and Engineering Mathematics (TWMS J. of Apl. & Eng. Math.) is an international open-access, peer-reviewed, monthly journal which is published on-line. The Journal publishes full-length original articles, reviews on specialized topics, technical notes, book reviews in the field of applied and interdisciplinary mathematics and is an ideal academic platform for researchers to share their latest research findings and directions in applied and engineering mathematics. The scope of the Journal covers, but not limited to the following fields:

    • applied probability and statistics,
    • approximation theory
    • applied functional analysis, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, and matrix computations,
    • applied electromagnetic theory and wave motion,
    • combinatorics,
    • control theory,
    • financial mathematics,
    • fuzzy sets and logic,
    • game theory,
    • graph theory,
    • information theory,
    • inverse problems,
    • mathematical economy,
    • nonlinear processes in physics,
    • numerical analysis and numerical solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations,
    • operation research.

Open Access Policy



TWMS Journal of Applied and Engineering Mathematics is an Open Access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of Open Access


Author Guidelines



Before submitting a manuscript, authors are strongly advised to review the Publication Ethics.

Manuscripts submitted to the "TWMS Journal of Applied and Engineering Mathematics" should be prepared using any common TeX distribution, including LaTeX 2.09 and MikTeX. Authors must strictly adhere to the journal's template. To download the journal template, please click on the TeX file Template.

The manuscript should include the following components:
 
Abstract: A concise abstract of 100-120 words is required. Please avoid complex mathematical symbols in the title and abstract, as they may not render correctly in the printed version.
 
Keywords: Provide 4-5 relevant keywords.
 
AMS Subject Classification: Include the 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification code(s).
 
Introduction and Conclusion: The manuscript must have a clear introduction and conclusion.
 
Figures and Tables: Include all necessary figures and tables, each with a descriptive title, captions, and footnotes. Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted material.
 
References: The reference list must strictly follow the Harvard journal referencing style.
 
Manuscripts that do not conform to these guidelines or are submitted in a format other than the journal template will not be considered for further evaluation.
 
Submissions must be original and not previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere, including journals, books, or any venue available through a library or by purchase.
 
Authors are not restricted to members of any specific institute, society, or association. Articles based on theses or presentations at conferences may be submitted, provided they do not appear in substantially the same form in published conference proceedings. All authors are required to provide their ORCID ID. For more information about ORCID and to register for a free ORCID identifier, please visit ORCID.org.
 
The total length of the manuscript should not exceed 15 pages.Authors are encouraged to submit their papers electronically to expedite the review process and publication. The average review time is approximately two months. Accepted papers will be published typically within 12 months after submission.
