Abstract

The work addressed in this paper is the analytic investigation of the steady thin lm ow of non-Newtonian Johnson-Segalman uid on vertical cylinder for lifting and drainage problems. The arised equation in the mathematical modelling is a highly nonlinear rst order di erential equation. We use the analytical methods, homotopy analysis method and a modi cation of di erential transform method based on Adomian polynomials. E ects of important physical quantities on velocity eld are demonstrated graphically with comprehensive discussions.
